Come watch the Kirkland Kayak Water Polo Club compete in an exhibition match with bragging rights on the line!
A collection of colorful sit-on-top kayaks packed together into a rainbow-colored cluster of boats, paddles, life jackets, and dry-suits. It’s as simple as it sounds, the game of water polo played in kayaks, each team trying to get the ball to the opposing buoy. But the action is intense as paddlers push, shove, thrust, and wedge their way into the opposing team’s territory. Come witness this spectacle on Saturday at 2:00 p.m!
Fun for the kids! Aqua Paddlers and Toy Boat Building will be available throughout the festival in the Kids AquaZone.
Lifejackets will be provided for children that choose to ride on the Aqua Paddlers.
Choose a hull and sail, drill a step for a mast, and build your very own toy boat! Younger children may need help using the hand drills and hammers. Put on by The Center for Wooden Boats
