NW Paddling Challenge 2016

Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

This spectator-friendly race on the shores of Lake Sammamish State Park features a 6-mile course of kayakers, stand-up paddleboarders and outriggers in a three-lap race along the shores. We will also be hosting a 2-mile course (one lap) for those interested in a shorter run or just new to racing.

The 6-mile race start time is 10:30 a.m.

The 2-mile race start time is 12:30 p.m.

Cost to register: $35 per person.
Race registration includes an all-day pass to the Northwest Paddling Festival. Demo the best gear in the world after you finish the course.

Fast or slow, all competitors are eligible to win one of two prizes:  

  • Werner Trance 86 Carbon UNCUT SUP Paddle (value: $309) donated by Olympic Outdoor Center. Registered racers will receive a raffle ticket to participate in the drawing at the conclusion of both races. The drawing will take place at approximately 1:30p near the race registration tent on Tibbett’s Beach. Must be present to win.
  • A pair of sunglasses (retail value $129) donated by Ohana.
